Importing and exporting data

The E-conomic accounting system enables you to import your accounting data – such as your opening balances, product and customer lists, etc. – directly into the system in the form of CSV files. Data from other accounting systems can be imported into E-conomic quickly and easily, making your transition to E-conomic entirely painless.

In a similar fashion, all of your E-conomic data can be exported in the form of CSV files, which can then be saved on your hard drive and read in Excel or another similar program.

Default set-ups

Within your E-conomic account you will find the default set-up options that E-conomic offers to fit your company and if you wish, you can apply a default set-up and get started with your accounts right away.

These default set-ups provide your chart of accounts, supplier , customer and product groups, VAT codes, and more. Once you apply a default set-up, you can adjust it to fit your company’s particular needs in any way you wish as long as you have not yet booked any data.

Multiple currencies

In E-conomic it is possible to work with a number of different currencies within your company accounts.

When you create your account, you must set the base currency which you will work with by default, butyou can always change the currency when necessary, e.g. in order to work with a foreign supplier.

In addition, exchange rates are automatically updated within your E-conomic system, and the registration of exchange differences on transactions is also performed automatically by the system.
