E-conomic's 37th Market Package has many new features and enhancements
Market Package 37 features
further administrator enhancements to allow for improved management and registration of clients, as well as ability to add invoice-specific extra documents. Additionally, booking in closed accounting years is now disallowed.
Administrator enhancements
Following many requests, the
company registers have been combined – i.e., no more separation of
administrator- and client-invoiced companies. Instead, a new column has been added, showing who pays for each company.
When
transferring invoicing of a company between administrator- and client-invoicing, it is now possible to
change the company’s subscription in the same operation. Of course, when transferring invoicing
from the administrator
to the client, the administrator is forced to select a new subscription if the client is currently using an administrator-only subscription.
Also, when
transferring invoicing to the client, it is now possible to edit the client’s
superuser information and invoice e-mail address – and e-conomic will automatically send a notification e-mail to the
invoice e-mail address when invoicing has been moved to the client.

Here you can see the 'Transfer invoicing' dialog and links (encircled) as well as the 'Paid by' column (also encircled)
When
registering clients, a number of additional fields can now be completed – including, on very popular demand, the administrator’s choice of
default setup. This way, administrators can define client settings without having to access each client.

Highlighted here are the additional fields added when registering clients, including 'Default setup', 'Paid by', 'Sort code', 'Account number' and 'Co. reg. no.'
Finally, for administrators who have set up their
logos in e-conomic,
these logos now link to the
administrator’s page on the e-conomic website.
Small and standard enhancements
Booking in closed accounting years is no longer allowed! Previously, this 'only' resulted in a warning. However, since booking in a
closed accounting year often results in users forgetting to re-close the accounting year in order to have
opening balances re-calculated, we have now disallowed this.
Consequently, you are instead forced to actively
re-open the accounting year in question, then book any additional entries, and finally re-close the accounting year. This will also allow for a much better
audit trail, particularly for accountants.
The
e-mail outbox now contains a
'Sent by' column, showing the user ID of the user who sent each e-mail – thus making traceability easier. Please note that since we’re only starting to log this now, any e-mails sent prior to this being launched will have no content in this column.
Scanning module enhancement
On popular demand, it is now possible to
add an extra document to a specific invoice. The
previous improvements adding this to the invoice
layout template works fine for general information – e.g. warranty specifications. However, for invoice-specific additional documents, such as sales-specific specifications, quite a few users have asked for this to be available as well.
Note that, while these documents are uploaded directly when editing the invoice – rather than having to be e-mailed and transferred from 'Unprocessed' – this feature still requires the
Scanning add-on module to be activated.

Here you can see 'Document linked' (circled in red) that indicates a document has been linked to the invoice and the invoice PDF with extra document linked
Spain: The
VAT statement now shows input
VAT as negative, and EU VAT is split into two lines (debit and credit).
Sweden: Similar to Denmark and Norway, Swedish customers can now enjoy
automatic city lookup by zip code.
