New custom tabs and Subscription enhancements in E-conomic

3 May 2011

May has sprung, and so has a new batch of E-conomic system enhancements

E-conomic's 35th Market Package introduces new custom tabs for even better integrations, improvements to the Subscription add-on module and other general improvements, including bulk deletion/barring of customers.

E-conomic custom tabs

In E-conomic you can now add custom tabs for showing external systems – such as custom dashboards or electronic invoicing solutions provided by integration partners – directly in your E-conomic system.

This is the first step of many upcoming enhancements that will allow partner functionality to be displayed in E-conomic directly. This will reduce our users’ need to switch back and forth between E-conomic and other systems they have integrated with.

Note: In order to add custom tabs, you must activate the free E-conomic API add-on module.

Improvements to the subscription add-on module

In the customer list, the subscription icon next to each customer now shows whether or not the customer has active subscriptions. This should provide subscription users with a much better overview.

Now when you set up your subscribers, a customer contact reference ('Your ref.') is available that will be automatically added to subscription invoices. This allows for a clearer linking of subscriptions to customers, especially in the case where a subscription should be referred to a specific person within the customer.

In cases where the periods involved are calendar months, now subscriptions with partial periods are calculated based on months, not days.

To allow for easier clean-up, bulk-deletion of subscribers is now possible.

You can now set subscriptions with periods of 4 and 8 weeks.

Now you can export subscribers, therefore providing you with more complete data backup capabilities.

Administrator link text

Now in the administrators’ master information form, you can define a special link text to be used on your web site link on the E-conomic website.

Small and standard enhancements

You can now bulk-delete/bar customers. When combined with our other recent improvement that allows you to hide barred customers by default, this means that you can now easily 'clean up' customers that are no longer used.

Now customer-related layout templates (invoice, quotation, etc.) show a new merge field for including the customer’s invoice e-mail address (which can be added in the customer master information).

Merge fields on invoices and credit notes are locked on booking now, which means that subsequent changes will have no effect when showing previously-booked invoices.
