U.K Technology Groundbreakers

A recent Gartner report says while adoption of SaaS applications in the U.S. has grown substantially, it is, in fact the U.K which has become (possibly to its own astonishment!) global leader in this particular technology. The figures which are obviously somewhat skewed because of the relative sizes, nevertheless show that although Stateside SaaS adoption numbers are still the largest worldwide, U.K companies have demonstrated even greater alacrity in jumping on board with cloud computing – to which of course, we here all shout hurrah!

According to Gartner the cloud computing market is likely to grow by nearly 17 percent globally in 2010. And nearly 30 percent of the total cloud computing applications market will come from U.K. companies seeing the sense in radically reducing costs at the same time as implementing highly capable cloud-based technology.

With SaaS expected to grow considerably for the rest of this year it’s also predicted that 95% of companies are fully committed not only to maintaining this adoption but also to expanding it.
