Today's release: Market Package 11

The 11th Market Package was released this morning with several improvements to e-conomic

Automatic accrual at period closing

Any entries created in closed periods will be moved to the first date in the earliest open period (if the entries are made on an account which has an automatic accrual account assigned).

An update has been made to the API to allow for the opening and closing of periods.

Invoice deductions
In some instances, the amount on an invoice is reduced before it is sent to the customer. This deduction must appear on the invoice and be posted to separate accounts both for the issuer of the invoice and the receiver of the invoice.

Alphanumeric sorting of the chart of accounts
The chart of accounts has been adjusted to make alphanumeric sorting possible. This means that all account numbers starting with 1 will come before those starting with 2, even though they contain more digits – i.e. 1100 is before 2 because 1100 starts with a 1.

With the option of sorting the chart of accounts alphanumerically, e-conomic can now handle account numbers with different numbers of digits.

VAT and tax reports
Four VAT reports are now ready for Spanish customers:

VAT report (model 303)
VAT base report
Withholding tax reports (models 110 + 115) , used for deductions
