System Improvements for October

This month E-conomic introduces new system improvements and functionality

The E-conomic Market Package 24 was just released, and it contains updates and bug fixes, as well as improvements to the basic module and several add-on modules.

Small and standard improvements

Now in your Day Books, the matching pop-up window shows both negative and postive entries if an amount has not been entered. This makes it easier to match refunds and credit notes, for example. In the Chart of Accounts Report, the incorrectly shown blank lines (that depended on the accounts’ report codes links) have been fixed and are no longer shown. Now when you import your Charts of accounts, you can also import Total Intervals account types - the actual intervals included.

Improvement to the Scanning Module

On some occasions, E-conomic has not detected files attached to e-mails sent to a users unique Scanning address. Usually this happened when the e-mails were sent from Macintosh e-mail programs while at the same time the names of the attached files contained national characters and/or were especially long length. Now, this problem has been addressed and these attachments are detected far more reliably.

Improvements to the E-conomic Bank Integration

Now when exporting Supplier payments, you are able to select whether the date that you have entered should override just earlier payment dates or all payment dates. This overriding is applied accurately to both the payment entries in the day book and the file generated. Separate columns for the due date and the actual payment date can now been seen in the payments register as well.

Improvement to the Project Management Module

When registering expenses, user-overridden exchange rates are no longer ignored.

Improvements to the API Module

The bulk creation and updating of, for example, customers has been greatly improved. We have noticed speed increases of factors 5-10 and upwards, depending on the amount of data being transferred. We have greatly optimized the ability to seach for finance entries by date.

Improvement to E-conomic Bank Reconciliation

Now, when you edit the opening balance of a period the value will always be saved.
