A new batch of system enhancements

22 February 2011

The newest E-conomic system improvements and updates were released today!

Today the 30th E-conomic Market Package was released, containing improvements such as automatic hiding of barred customers, validation of administrators' addresses in Google Maps, new Stock Management functionality and more.

Small and standard enhanhcements

  • Now barred customers are hidden automatically in your customer list (this change is similar to the barred products being hidden in the product list update that we introduced in Market Package 28). Hiding barred customers will provide you with a better customer overview if you have many clients that you no longer work with, but also shouldn't yet delete. If you would like to display your barred customers, you can simply click the "Show barred customers" button.

  • Now in the day books, the actual exchange rate is saved with all six available decimals (in the past the currency and base currency amounts alone were saved). This change eliminates situations where users are confused about subsequent edits of the entry that do not show the exact same exchange rate that they entered originally.
  • If matching entries result in differences in exchange rates, these will now receive the same voucher number as the most recent entry involved in the matching (in the past, another system-generated number series was used). This will better link exchange rate differences to the entry which originally 'created' them.

Improvements to the Stock Management module

  • In line with our plans to improve the Stock Management add-on module, now "Minimum stock" and "Minimum order" fields have been made available in the product master information and the Reordering report. This will provide users with an overview of how much of each product they should order.

Bug fix

  • Now supplier invoices that are booked with a type “Paid in cash” payment term will automatically book and match the payment.

Improvements to the Administrator module

  • In the master information for administrators, an automatic validation of the administrators’ address in Google Maps is now available. This will help to prevent administrators from not being shown in Google Maps on their administrator profile page in the E-conomic list of accountants and bookkeepers.

Bug fix for the Dimension (departments) module

  • The Department P&L report would sometimes not show all departments - depending on the selected department filter. This has now been fixed.

Improvement to the API

  • Now (read-only) access to Report Designer report code sets, report code structures and linked accounts is enabled. This makes it possible to use the Report Designer account categorization in reporting systems outside of E-conomic as well.
