More and more SME's are outsourcing their accounting using cloud computing
More and more
small and medium companies are moving their administrative tasks outside of their own countries through the cloud in order to streamline their operations and lower their costs significantly.
The Danish telephony and mobile provider
Vopium is one such company. They have outsourced all of their accounting tasks for their operations in Denmark, Norway and Sweden to Pakistan by utilizing the E-conomic online accounting system as their connecting link.

Many SMEs are moving their accounting tasks to the cloud
Increased efficiency, lower costs
For a long time, large, global companies have been outsourcing their expensive administrative tasks to Asia and other places around the world with lower costs. With the continuing advances in cloud computing, now small and medium sized companies are also able to centralize tasks in inexpensive countries. This can result in increased efficiency and much lower costs.
One way that cloud computing has made outsourcing possible for SMEs is that they do not have to pay for numerous, high-cost software licenses. Now if they would like to do their accounts in more than one country for example, they can order just one E-conomic subscription which can be worked on by numerous users in other languages.
Vopium chose to replace their C5 desktop accounting system with the E-conomic online accounting solution, which in turn enabled them to outsource their accounting tasks to Pakistan.
Taking advantage of SaaS
"Using an online accounting
Software-as-a-Service (Saas) model is the right match for a company like Vopium where all of our processes have been digitalised. We definitely want to take advantage of the synergy between online companies," says Vopium CEO Tanveer Sharif.
"We trained an accountant in Pakistan to complete the accounting tasks for all three of our countries by using the E-conomic accounting system in English. This is exactly the kind of flexibility that we need," Sharif finishes.
Customization without additional costs
E-conomic CEO Torben Frigaard Rasmussen says that the demand for companies to have the flexibility to decide where and when to do their accounting is growing.
"We are very fixed on companies like Vopium that are searching for an international collaboration. We can truly help these companies since our system can be customized to different languages and different local conditions without incurring additional costs," says Rasmussen.
