Enter product use, mileage and working hours in E-conomic

With more than 42,000 companies, the Danish company E-conomic is one of the world's top providers of a 100 % online accounting software, specifically designed for SMEs.

E-conomic has launched a craftsman's solution suited for all types of craftsman's businesses. This solution integrates the recording of working hours, mileage og product use, saving the company a lot of time on administration.

All employees can enter working hours and mileage in the system. All they need is internet access.

On top of projects

"As soon as working hours, mileage and expenses have been entered on a project and the entries have been booked, you can transfer everything to an invoice and submit it to the customer with just a few mouse clicks", says Sales Manager in E-conomic, Tejn Vanting Nielsen.

According to Tejn Vanting Nielsen, the craftsman's businesses get a better overview of the working hours and materials spent on a project while also minimizing the possibility of making errors along the way. All in all, the new solution requires less administration and leaves more time for each project.

Employees do their own time recording

With an online system for project management, employers can log in to their projects anytime and anywhere. All they need is internet access - in the office, with the customer, on the road or at home.

"It is really easy to enter expenses during the course of a project. You can even let your employees do their own recording of time and mileage on each project. And they can do it on the spot, as long as they have internet access.

As an alternative, you can record product usage and external manpower and assign an automatic markup percentage to the project. So there is no longer any need for someone to keep track of paper time sheets and enter them manually in the accounting system", says Tejn Vanting Nielsen.

Carpenter business saves time

Lars Toft runs a carpenter business in Sønderborg, Denmark. The company has six employees who have all quit paper time sheets in favor of online time recording in E-conomic, saving Manager Lars Toft a lot of precious time. He is delighted to no longer have to enter time sheets manually in the system:

"Today, our assistants do their own time reporting – with their log-in details, they can do it anytime they like – everyone has a computer! I then do their salaries, and when their hours have been approved in the system, each project is automatically updated. This gives us a good overview of how much time we spend on each project," says Lars Toft.

Lars Toft's company used to do their bookkeeping in the Microsoft program C5, which according to Lars Toft does not compare with E-conomic as it is not nearly as user-friendly.
